CAINE is a student-run club based in UVA where people do all things related to comics and animation! From Xenoblade to X-Men to Bocchi the Rock, join us if you're interested in anime, webtoons, donghua, manhwa, western animation, and games.
Misspent Youth is a student zine that publishes anything you can put in print about comics, animation, video games, cosplay, and more!
Each issue is a different theme: this year's theme is DREAM.

How much will a Misspent Youth cost?
One printed copy of the 2024-2025 issue costs $10. All dues-paying members are eligible for one free copy.
When does Misspent Youth release?
Usually, they release from March to April of the year.
Will Misspent Youth be exclusive to CAINE members?
Nope! We will be selling some of our copies at the cosplay cafe and our last few meetings!
Where can I pick up my copy?
You can pick up your copy during CAINE meetings. See below for a list of our events! We will also announce when issues will be available through our Discord, and mailing list.
